Hello world!
Yes, I know. I’ve used the generic headline from wordpress.com, but hey, it’s working for me.
Update
I started this site as a work in progress. The work was the story of segregation from a nine-year-old’s point of view. That book, because I’d planned to write a book, took place during Easter, 1963 in Nashville, Tenn. The heroine, Stephanie, learned she wouldn’t get a new dress because Negroes are boycotting the department stores downtown. She was crushed – until a friend offered a tempting way to circumvent the protest.
That book turned into a short story which turned into a screenplay, thanks to a screenwriting class I took this past spring. The screenplay might turn into a stage play, but at least I’ve finished a project I’d been working on since 1995.
So the site is now my calling card. I’ve posted links to my work in In Print, Online, and On Air. You can read my bio in Who I Am.
